You're going to LOVE this: It's a stash builder sale! Buy four skeins and get your fifth of the same brand free. You can mix and match different styles of yarn within the same brand, but the free skein must be the least expensive. This applies only to specific brands, but includes the most popular brands like Skacel, Dale of Norway and Louet. I'll get a list of all the brands up on Monday. Co-op members should corner Bex for details on their special privileges for this sale. Please do not bother with the Trekking sock yarn....I'm going to buy it all ALL AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALL. By special request of the Fiber Furlough Fiends at Carol Leigh's Hillcreek Fiber Studio, Bex Oliger (internationally recognized indigo dye expert) is offering her special seminar on indigo dyeing. She'll demonstrate four different techniques for indigo dyeing, including a woad, Saxon blue (with sulfuric acid), indigo for protein fibers (wool or silk), and indigo for cellulose fibers. No previous experience necessary. Wear old clothes and expect them to go home with newly added artistic blue smears and blubs. Incidental indigo tattoos are a free bonus. Course includes a detailed set of recipes that explain the chemistry and culture of these ancient natural dyes.
